Oatlands in Leesburg, VA - Tour and Tea for 4

Item Number: 359
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
A tea and tour for four persons at Oatlands Historic House and Gardens during the 2007 season. Oatlands is a National Trust Historic Site.
Once part of the extensive Carter family plantation holdings, Oatlands is located between Washington and Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. Elegant formal gardens were created by generations of the two families who lived here. After the Civil War, the plantation became unprofitable. A prominent Washington family purchased, preserved and maintained the house and grounds as a country estate. Oatlands tells the stories of a 19th-century working plantation, a turn-of-the-century English-style country house and the families who made their home there.
Oatlands has a history of elegant traditional afternoon tea programs where guests can enjoy an assortment of delicate tea sandwiches, sweet treats, scones and their special tea blend.
