Description

A stay at the luxurious and exclusive Chateau de Canisy in France in two rooms for three nights.  The visit includes breakfast and dinners.  The castle of Canisy is situated near Saint Lo, a Norman city in the Cotentin, a peninsula of western Normandy (near Mont Saint Michel and the D-day invasion beaches). It is three hours by car from Paris and two hours and twenty minutes by train from Paris to Lison, the nearest rail station.
Review by J.P. Moser: "Chateau de Canisy has been in the same family ever since its creation in the twelve century. Today it is owned and managed by Comte Denis de Kergorlay, who being the oldest male in the family, inherited from his father according to the aristocratic tradition." ... "Chateau de Canisy is absolutely magnificent, even pictures are not enough to describe it. Each room is different and there are no set prices. At Chateau de Canisy one can enjoy the splendor of the true "Vie de chateau" and feel at home. They simply try to give you the best room available, subject to availability. Because Denis runs the place in a very enchanting and peculiar way and they are very seldom full, almost on purpose. I guess he does not want to be mistaken for a hotel by any standards!."
