This attention-getting black and white illustration titled "Squareheads" is by the noted Boston area artist, Todd McKie. It was created in 2001 when he was illustrating Harriet Ziefert's book, Squarehead. Todd is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and his works are included in the permanent collection of both the Decordova Museum and The Museum of Fine Arts.


McKie's seriously witty paintings have been shown in galleries and museums throughout the country. He lives in Cambridge, Mass.



About the Illustrator: Todd McKie is a painter whose work is well known for its whimsical style and humorous content. He received a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, and has shown his work in major contemporary art venues across the United States. He has recently been working on both large-scale public art projects and illustrations for children's books. McKie has painted a large black and white image to occupy the entirety of the DeCordova Museum's grand front window.
