2001 Stags Leap Cabernet Sauvignon - The Leap - Napa Valley. Dark, rich core of earthy currant, chocolate, cedar, lead pencil and spice notes. The tannins are tight and sturdy, clamping down on the finish, but the flavors push through giving it a measure of complexity. Best from 2006 through 2012.
