I have been making quilts for the past seven years and have won awards for my work in the area of foundation piecing. I suppose I enjoy it so much because of the strong mathematics relationship which is the academic I teach at Osborne. I also have an extensive background in color and design which is vitally important in quilt construction. This quilt is based on a classic pattern known as "log cabin". A well constructed quilt should last for many, many years and should never be hidden away but should be used regularly or displayed where it can be enjoyed!
