UK artist Jan Mayfield was diagnosed with fibromyalgia nearly two years ago. Having always found sketching and painting to be very relaxing, she sought to distract her mind from the pain and fatigue of her disease with her art. Jan says, "I can spend hours lost in my paintings...it's so therapeutic."
Jan and another friend with fibromyalgia began a support group in Staffordshire, England to help empower themselves and others with this devastating disease. Jan's dream of making a living with her art is now becoming a reality.
