This varietal came originally from the Valley of the Po in Northern Italy. It has gained a tremendous following among foothill wines.
Dark in color, sweet and spicy on the nose with hints of vanilla and clove coming from the oak barrel aging. The flavor of this Barbera follows the aromas with rich fresh fruit tones -- long continuous tones from start to finish.
