Description
Taken on Burma's Inle Lake, this photograph demonstrates the beauty of the lake's setting and way of life. Two fishermen maneuver their boats and nets, the one on the left demonstrating the leg-rowing technique unique to the rowers of Inle Lake.
The fish harvest at Inle includes nga-hpein, a type of carp, and several other fresh-water fish. Cone-shaped nets, stretched over wood and bamboo frames, are thrust into the shallow waters of the lake to trap the fish.
Printed on textured fine-art paper with deckled edges, this 12x18-inch print has been matted and framed in a black metal frame.
