Fine food and conversation will be the fare at this exclusive lunch.  The winning bidder and a guest will join multiple Emmy-award winning broadcast journalist, Gordon Peterson, for an afternoon meal at the Cosmos Club.  In addition to anchoring the WJLA evening news, Gordon Peterson is also moderator and producer of Inside Washington, a political roundtable discussion about current political events going on in Washington.  The Cosmos Club, a private social club, will serve as the perfect location for such a meeting of the minds.  Since its founding, the Cosmos Club has elected as members individuals in virtually every profession that has anything to do with scholarship, creative genius or intellectual distinction.  Among its members, over the years, have been three Presidents, two Vice Presidents, a dozen Supreme Court Justices, 32 Nobel Prize winners, 56 Pulitzer Prize winners, and 45 recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
