RDS enables the scrolling of station call letters, artist and song title information, traffic information and other local interest messages to RDS ready car receivers. On Greater Media stations, the RDS program is currently formatted as follows: at the start of a song, the song title and artist will appear on the RDS display about 1/3 of the way into the song, the commercial message will be displayed (64 characters) during the last third of the song an "up next" message will scroll with the name of the artist playing next your message will air during each song, up to 15 times an hour, depending on the daypart, with each scrolled message running for about 2 minutes per exposure, depending on the length of the song.
