Description
Utigawa Kunisada (1786 -- 1865), also known at Utagawa Toyokuni III, was the most popular, prolific, and financially successful designer of Ukiyo-e prints (approx. 13 ½" x 9 ½") in 19th century Japan. Utigawa Kunisada dominated the figured print genre -- stunning portraits from the Kabuki (actors), daily life, portraits of courtesans, and samurai. This print is a fine arts digital reproduction. The mat board surround was designed and hand colored by the framer, Stuart Conway/ Somerset Frame Shop.
