1987 Napa Valley Wines. 1987 vintage in Napa was the last of a string of 3 nearly ideal growing seasons. Spring weather appeared early and the warm temperatures during the flowering resulted in sharply reduced yields. The lower crop and long growing season produced wines of great depth, richness, and concentration.
One Bottle 1987 Far Niente Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml
One of Far Niente’s best vintages of the 80s. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc hand-picked from the Stelling Vineyard which is adjacent to Martha’s Vineyard and Mondavi’s Reserve Block. Rated 91pts by the Wine Spectator. It shows better today than it did upon release.
