Description
Harvard-Westlake has proudly witnessed the astonishing career and artistic metamorphosis of Kamran Khavarani. Khavarani (father of Celine '95 and Caline '99) once an accomplished architect, has now been recognized as the once-in-a-century creator of an entire new style of art. World-renowned UCLA art historian Albert Boime, discovered Khavarani's work, christened it "Abstract Romanticism" and observed that it was the artistic landmark of its age. Inspired by the philosophy of Rumi, Khavarani's canvasses exude energy, joy and mystic peace.
Khavarani's work will draw you into his natural world, every step of which celebrates the wonder of creation. This extraordinary original oil, magnificently framed and matted, conveys a powerful sense of purity, spirituality and light.
Professor Boime's book on Khavarani, slated for publication this year, will introduce this remarkable artist to the world. In the meantime, your painting will be accompanied by a personal letter written to you by the artist, inviting you to a private tour of his studio and gallery, including new works which will be featured in the Boime book.
