This two night excursion plus dog sledding trip for two includes an unforgettable one-night experience at the Ice Hotel, Quebec-Canada. Located east of Québec City within the grounds of the Duchesnay winter resort, you will have the opportunity to experience the first ever ice hotel to be built in North America. The hotel is sculpted each year by artisans and is made with 4,750 tons of sculpted ice, forming arches over rooms. The hotel contains two art galleries (filled with ice sculptures of course!) a bar, a movie theater, and a chapel where weddings are celebrated. The walls are more than 4 feet thick on average. All of the furniture is made of ice. In addition to using ice glasses, the bar (and room service) also serves cold cuts on ice plates. To ensure a restful night’s sleep, your bed will be on a block of ice - but lined with deer furs and covered with mattresses and arctic sleeping bags. Only the bathrooms are heated, in a separate insulated structure.

Your one night stay at the Hotel de Glace includes: Admission to the ice hotel, a welcome cocktail, access to hot tubs and sauna, one night in an ice hotel themed suite, a hot beverage served in the morning, breakfast at the Auberge Duchesnay, complete equipment for the night (arctic sleeping bag, blanket and pillow).

Your second night will be in a much warmer environment at the Lodge on the Station Touristique Duchesnay. Your accommodation will be in a cabin or lodge and you will be served breakfast at the Auberge Duchesnay.

To make this a complete arctic experience, you will get to enjoy a three-hour dog sledding excursion with Aventure Inukshuk. You will be welcomed and introduced to the sled dogs, and witness them being trained. You’ll then harness your dog team and set out as official musher’s and have the ride of your life!
