Celebrity Experience-Join Dr. Brian Lapointe of Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution, one of the world's foremost authorities of nutrient pollution of coral reefs, for a day of diving and coral reef research. Dr. Lapointe authored the coral reef section of the National Academy of Sciences book "Clean Coastal Waters: Understanding and "Reducing Nutrient Pollution" and has worked for over two decades in monitoring nutrient pollution in the Florida Keys. His work was recently profiled in the LA Times story "Altered Oceans: A Primeval Tide of Toxins". This experience could take place either at Looe Key in the Lower Florida Keys, or on reefs in Southeast Florida where Dr. Lapointe is currently tracking the alien invader Caulerpa Brachypus.

Other possible study sites include Green Turtle Cay (Bahamas), Negril (Jamaica), Hawaii (Kona), St. Lucia (Soufriere), or who knows where?
