Description

Southernmost House in the USA

Key West, Florida

Located on the ocean the Southernmost House Grand Hotel & Museum was built in 1896. The house is a work of architectural wonder. The grounds are magnificent with glorious tropical gardens, a zero-entry pool, an antique wooden bar from Carson City, Nevada and four resident southernmost rabbits that delight guest with occasional visits.

In 1996 a $3 million restoration of the property began to turn this marvel into a 13-room hotel, with a museum and a spectacular wedding and event venue.

The hotel is comprised of 13 unique guest rooms available to the public for the first time since 1954. Make reservations here.

Palm trees, indigenous flowers and tropical greenery surround our 1-acre of waterfront gardens and decks. They have been designed to be the premier wedding and special event destination of Key West.

The museum features an impressive collection of Presidential and Hemingway memorabilia.

Beginning in 2004 artifacts and treasure salvaged by Whitey Keevan from the shipwreck of the Spanish galleon "El Cazador" are also on display and for sale.
