Salsa Loca came recommended by the concierge at our hotel, LaTeDa, which is just a couple of blocks down from the restaurant. Granted, you don't come to Key West to east Mexican but boy were we glad we did! It's a hole in the wall - very little decor on the outside and nice and simple on the inside, but the food is well worth it. Key West is generally expensive but Salsa Loca gave us huge portions for quite a steal. I can recommend the mixed enchilladas, especially the beef one. The chips and salsa were abundant and I have NEVER seen a waitress refill my husband's glass of coke so many times and so swiftly (there was actually a moment when he was just finishing the last gulp and she was already taking the glass from him to refill it!) This place is apparently a locals favorite - there was a Spanish speaking table behind us that was definitely local - and if they think it's good, how could we not agree!
