Review From Motif Magazine

"La Prima Caffe, a cultural hot spot
Chic, hip and super-kool are just three words that come to mind at our gem of a next stop at 205 Broadway in providence just four blocks from Rt 95 and near the wonderfully restored old Columbus theatre on one of the truly great old streets of our capital city where La Prima Caffe (the first coffee, if you will) hits you right where Sinatra left you as he walked off-into-darkness under spot lights, the ending shot of his old TV series.
Boasting a well thought out five-star full menu of great foods, live Saturday night jazz (old time recipes, jazzy new flavors) the Chef/owner Phil McKendall has whipped up a tastefully decorated place of mood plus food with seating for 44 inside plus 12 out on the sidewalk cafe; hosting breakfast and lunch 9AM -5PM Monday thru Friday, Saturday 9AM-2PM and dinner Thursday and Friday 6PM-10PM, Saturday 5:30PM-10PM. This place is decked-out like a black tuxedo utilizing clever ways of dividing space while feeding the tummy."
