Hand-crafted Quilted Red Maple Sewing Box, Built by Bob Dunning, 2007

Description
This box is made of highly figured maple, and has hornbeam inlays and pine secondary wood. The box has two hinged lids with an inlaid lip to lift the lid open. It has been patterned after an antique found in a 1790's Maine home. Measures 7"h x 10"w x 7.5"d. It was crafted by Bob Dunning, an Historic Restoration and Preservation carpenter from for over 35 years. He was a Maine Preservation year 2000 Statewide Historic Preservation Honor Award recipient, and currently resides in Bridgton, Maine.
