Ms. Rice , who has 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, joined Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital in January 2004. Previously, she served as Chief Operating Officer of South Pointe Hospital, a 223-bed osteopathic teaching hospital that is part of the Cleveland Clinic Health System (CCHS). During her tenure at South Pointe, the hospital earned the highest physician satisfaction rating among CCHS eastern region hospitals and in 2003, it was recognized as one of the "Northcoast 99" Best Places to Work. Ms. Rice began her career with the Cleveland Clinic Health System -- Eastern Region in 1979 as the Director of Pharmacy Services. Ms. Rice was the 2004 recipient of the Ohio Osteopathic Association Meritorious Service Award and was awarded the Phillips Medal of Public Service, 2005. She currently serves on the Executive Committee of the American Osteopathic Healthcare Council of Teaching Hospitals. In addition, she is a Board member of CORE (Centers for Osteopathic Research and Education), the Akron Regional Hospital Association, the Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital Foundation, the Area Agency on Aging, the Akron Roundtable and a member of the Finance Committee of the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland. She is the current Corporate Recruitment Chair for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Ms. Rice earned her B.S. degree in Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University and her M.B.A. degree from Lake Erie College.
