CURRENT RESPONSIBILITY

Mike O'Boyle is the Chief Operating Officer of the Cleveland Clinic and the Cleveland Clinic Health System, a position he has held since July 2005. The Cleveland Clinic is a world-renowned non-profit provider of health care services, medical education and research. The Health System is made up of the Clinic's operations in Cleveland and Florida, 15 regional medical practices in Northeast Ohio, 9 community based hospitals, and a myriad of diversified businesses. The Health System had net revenues and total assets of $3.8 billion and $5.2 billion, respectively, for the year ended and as of December 31, 2004.

As the COO, Mr. O'Boyle's primary responsibilities include oversight of the operational and business unit activities of the Clinic and Health System.

PRIOR EXPERIENCE


Prior to being appointed COO, Mr. O'Boyle was the Chief Financial Officer of the Cleveland Clinic Health System since 2001. Prior to joining the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Mr. O'Boyle was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of MedStar Health, Inc. from 2000-2002. He also served in other senior executive positions with MedStar from 1998-2000 following the merger of Helix Health and the Medlantic Healthcare Group, Inc. that resulted in the formation of MedStar. Before the merger, Mr. O'Boyle held several positions at Medlantic from 1991-1997, including Executive Vice President, Finance and Business Development and CFO. He has worked in healthcare since 1981 and began his career in 1979 at the financial services firm Ernst & Young.

EDUCATION, AWARDS AND PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

Mr. O'Boyle earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business (Summa Cum Laude) from DeSales University, Center Valley, PA in 1979, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. O'Boyle is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives; American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; Financial Executives Institute; and Healthcare Financial Management Association. Active in the business community, Mr. O'Boyle has served on several boards of directors. He is currently a member of the board of directors of The Greenspring Fund in Baltimore, MD, the United Way Services, Cleveland, OH, and the industry advisory committee of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board. Mr. O'Boyle is a past Chairman of the Hospital Billing & Collection Service, Ltd. of Wilmington, DE and a past member of the board of directors of The Access Group of Wilmington, DE.
