Kathryn M. Hall is the Assistant Vice President for Institutional Diversity and Equity, at Case Western Reserve University. She is responsible for providing executive leadership for Diversity efforts throughout the University and its eight schools. She is also in charge of the University's Supplier Diversity Program. Hall began her employment at Case in April of 2004 as the Director of Equal Opportunity and Diversity. Prior to her employment at Case, Hall worked for 13 years at Cuyahoga Community College as their Director of Diversity and Community Outreach. Hall has also worked at Cleveland State University and the Ohio Civil Rights Commission.
Hall is a Certified Diversity Professional having received a Master's Degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Diversity Management from Cleveland State University. Additionally, she earned Certification from the NTL in Washington, D.C. with specialization in Diversity Management after completing an 18 month training program. Kathryn received her undergraduate degree from Baldwin Wallace College in Political Science and Sociology. Kathryn is proud of the fact that she is also a Cleveland Public Schools graduate.
Kathryn spends a lot of time in community service in northeast Ohio. She is the current past Board President for the YWCA of Greater Cleveland. She serves on the Education Subcommittee of the City of Cleveland Community Relations Board. She is a very active member of the United Black Fund. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Sankofa Fine Arts Plus and was instrumental as a result in helping to develop the Cleveland Fine Art Expo now in its sixth year. She regularly volunteers with the New Life Community Center.
Hall was inducted into the 2006 Class of Who's Who in Black Cleveland. She is a member of the Kaleidoscope 40/40 Club, The Cleveland EEO Association and the Black Professionals Association.
Hall is a resident of Cleveland, a Cleveland Public Schools graduate and enjoys music, traveling and collecting fine ethnic art.
