The SLB Group was formed in 1999 after its President and CEO Kristi Stepteau became aware of the many personal and professional challenges faced by professional athletes and entertainers in managing their busy lifestyles and demanding careers. Realizing the need for comprehensive resources and services to address the lifestyle and career management needs of professional athletes and other celebrities, Ms. Stepteau created The SLB Group, a full-service Sports and Entertainment Consulting Firm, designed to provide lifestyle, career and event management services for sports and entertainment professionals.

Prior to developing The SLB Group, Ms. Stepteau worked for several Fortune 500 corporations where she was responsible for managing multi-million dollar marketing campaigns. Ms. Stepteau has over fifteen (15) years combined experience in marketing, community relations, public relations and special events, and she has held many key positions within the corporate sector, as well as volunteer Executive Board positions within the non-profit environment.

Ms. Stepteau has extensive event and project management experience, some of which includes organizing, planning, marketing and sponsorship sales for two events for a national sports association, and The SLB Group has organized several events that have played host to professional athletes from numerous professional sports teams, including the Washington Redskins, Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens, Tennessee Titans, New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Charlotte Bobcats, and others. The SLB Group also recently developed and organized a community initiative for an NBA player that was part of a national youth health and wellness campaign. In addition, Ms. Stepteau has been a guest speaker at the Mothers of Professional Basketball Players Association's (MPBPA) regional meeting and a guest speaker at the Professional Football Players Mothers Association's (PFPMA) annual conference.

Ms. Stepteau's background and experience has equipped her with the knowledge and expertise needed to create and effectively manage a company capable of successfully addressing the lifestyle, career, and event management needs of high profile clientele.
