Collector's "Wolf" Pocket Watch and Watch Stand

Item Number: 543
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
These two spectacular pieces are "Officially Authorized by the International Wolf Center." The heavy pocket watch is in a silver metal, but the beautiful wolf's head appears to be made of pewter. Ringing the wolf is a thin gold rope, surrounded by a wider band of midnight blue. The substantial chain is 14" long. When opened, the watch face shows two howling wolves backed by the moon in a snowy forest setting. Hands and second hand are gold plated. This watch came from the Franklin Mint collection. It is very attractive, but it does need a new battery.
On the bottom of the watch stand you'll read, "The International Wolf Center Presents The Spirit of the Wolf Collector Watch Stand." We believe it also is a Franklin Mint piece but we cannot verify it at this time. The majority of the stand is in gold tones, but the howling wolf appears to be pewter. Watch is cradled by the trees depicted on the piece. With the watch in its stand, piece is almost 5-1/2" tall.
This is a unique piece in two parts that will not be offered again. As it stands, it is a beautiful, decorative tribute to the American wolf. Put a new battery in the watch and you'll have a dependable time piece. It's offered at an "estimated value" well below its original retail price.
