Original trial and investigative documents for an amazing legal case perfect for writing your own true crime thriller. The case is a murder- child-kidnapping, love-triangle affair based on a case litigated in United States District Court for the District of Hawaii, United States vs. Kathy Brown.
The murder took place on the Marine Air Corps Base in 1982 and involves a great deal of military background. The investigation spans five states, and is ripe with sex, scandal and intrigue -- all true!
It was made into a mini-series that aired on NBC in the early 90's and regularly repeats,called "A Matter of Justice," starring Martin Sheen and Patty Duke. The Mini-Series received NBC's highest ratings in several years.
