Description

The winning bidder will receive a choice of two bottles each of three varietals (six bottles total!) of champagne-style sparkling mead from The Heidrun Meadery.

Mead is wine made from honey rather than grapes. It is an ancient and storied beverage, predating even the Agricultural Revolution. For millennia, libations made from honey have figured prominently in the civilizations of many peoples on many continents. It has been proclaimed "Nectar of the Gods", to be sure, but it has also been the staple beverage of the common man.

The Heidrun Meadery's Methode Champenoise varietals are produced using the ultimate expression of the sparkling winemaker's craft,  the centuries-old French method of tirage, riddling and disgorgement. These meads contain no sediment. Sparkling mead is as close to ambrosia as they have come and that is why they make it!
