Baer, an artist and educator for more than 20 years, forms his pieces on a potter's wheel using porcelain. Each piece he creates is slowly worked to achieve a sense of balance, grace and fluidity. After a firing in the kiln, each vessel is carefully studied and its distinctive character is further enriched through the application of multiple layers of glaze which add depth, richness and subtlety of surface texture and color.

Through the medium of clay, Baer creates vessels that evoke what is elemental and timeless.
