Description

Size : 22" x 30"
Framed and matted with museum board

Looking east down Mattoon Street toward the church. Pecora created this piece in the springtime. One of the elements that she likes most is the juxtaposition of the church and Japanese cherry trees.

Pecora loves painting in watercolor which allows her to play with the light. Since the medium dries rather quickly, she is able to capture the feel and environment as it really is. Shadows and time of day in her work are one of her signature elements.

Pecora has painted on location all over the country and in many parts of the world. Her watercolor paintings combine a unique blend of architecture and nature. In 2001, she was commissioned to create the images showcased in the 2001 Farm Aid calendar. She has been a "Featured Artist" for WGBY's Gallery Collection Auction. Pecora has given demonstrations to art associations throughout New England, and she also hosts WGBY's popular program Reflections Through Watercolor with Susan Tilton Pecora.
