Frances Kidder has been a solo exhibitor with many Northern New England galleries. She is presently with the Oxbow Gallery, Northampton, MA. and in 2006 was a group exhibitor with Gallery 170, Damariscotta, ME.

Kidder was awarded the Strathmore Paper award in the Juried Northeast Show with the Springfield Art League and Honorable Mention as a juried exhibitor in the Springfield Arts Festival.

She has an M.A.T. from UMass, Amherst, M.Ed. Special Education from Boston University and B.A. in Art History from Vassar College, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

She has studied at the Museum School of Fine Arts Boston, MA, painting with Miroslav Antic and Julie Graham and the Vermont Studio Center and Mount Holyoke College with Marion Miller.

She has taught for many years, most recently at the Guild Studio School in Easthampton, MA.
