Eggs emerging from cans and cans coming out of eggs and engaged in an epic battle as a commentary on the absurdity of war.

MacDonald is an accomplished watercolorist and etcher and also works in oils to create his paintings that feature local landscapes and social realism--a style of art known for using bold lines and color to create moving social commentary. He has illustrated eight children's books.
