Description
This is a package of 8 holiday cards (4 1/2" x 6 1/4") with an image of Boston's Washington Street theater district during a blizzard in 1934 from i-concepts.
The cards come with 8 red envelopes. The inside of the card reads "Season's Greetings" in red print, in a Broadway font. This photograph was taken by Arthur Hansen and is in The Bostonian Society archives as part of the the Arthur Hansen photograph collection. The theater marquees, including the marquee of the RKO Keith Theater, are brightly lit and parked automobiles are covered in snow. On the right side of the image a couple with one person holding an umbrella brave the weather.
