Description
Ring shawl, so called because it is so finely spun and knit that it can easily be slipped through a wedding ring. From lamb to shawl, all work was done by hand by Jamestown College alumna Audrey Kloubec. The woll is from a fine Kloubec lamb fleece of the Columbia breed, chosen for this project. THe fleece was washed, carded, and spun by hand into two fine threads which were plied together to make the yarn strong and longwearing. The resulting yarn was knitted into this lovely "Lily-of-the-Valley" pattern, the creamy white wool showing off the pattern to great advantage. This shawl looks fabulous worn with your little black dress.
