Acclaimed viol consort Parthenia welcomes virtuoso Renaissance violinists Robert Mealy and Shira Kammen, and organist John Scott for an evening of spirited English music for strings and chamber organ, from the iconic Elizabethan fantasies of Christopher Tye to the Civil War era music of William Lawes and John Jenkins.  The program will feature variations, fantasias and theatrical works including Jenkins' programmatic recreation of the famous siege of Newark.
