Phil Coupe, co-owner of Energyworks in Portland, is offering a comprehensive home solar evaluation in greater Portland, which includes climbing on someone's roof with the Solar Pathfinder tool to determine annual insulation, measuring roof for collector layout, taking digital photos, plotting pipe/electrical runs from collectors to mechanicals and assessing the existing boiler for efficiency upgrades.
After the evaluation, we prepare a detailed proposal and price quote for a solar hot water system and/or solar electric system.

Energyworks is a local renewable energy company that specializes in the design, installation and maintenance of solar electric and solar hot water systems. A comprehensive home solar evaluation includes:
1. Climbing on your roof with the Solar Pathfinder tool to measure annual insulation (sun energy potential) and determine if any trees or nearby structures will create shading problems throughout the year.
2. Taking digital photos and measuring your roof for collector layout.
3. Determining wire and pipe runs from rooftop to mechanical systems (wire to electric panel and meter, pipe to boiler and hot water tank).
4. Assessing boiler for control upgrades that can save more than 15% of annual oil consumption.
5. After the evaluation, Energyworks will create a detailed renewable energy proposal and price quote for solar electricity and solar hot water.
