These handmade woven barrettes were made by Maine fiber artist (and Chewonki Foundation tripleader for Two Roads), Lauren Ostis.  A collection of six barrettes (3 large and 3 small) allows for a variety of gift-giving options for the holiday season...

Lauren graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Syracuse University's School of Art & Design in 2001... these barrettes are made from small pieces of the handwoven wool blankets that she created for my "handdancers" (marionettes)...  100% wool... mostly organic from farms... with a french barrette clip.

the colors: large ones: yellow, pink, blue (all with stripes of other colors)
                small ones: orange, green, purple...
