Two tickets to see Thodos Dance Chicago's New Dances 2007 at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts. Performances available include Friday, June 22, Saturday, June 23 at 8pm or Sunday, June 25 at 5pm.
New Dances reflects what defines Thodos Dance Chicago: a commitment to nurture and support talented artists interested in expressing their own choreographic vision. "New Dances " features work by company members and a local guest choreographer. Each choreographer has spent four months creating these new works, which are rich with dynamic originality and diverse viewpoints. Explore the choreographers' creative process in a lively conversation with the artists after the show.
A "New Dances" experience has enabled many emerging choreographers to develop their skills and reputations as Chicago-based dance artists. Works premiered in "New Dances" have gone on to be performed by the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Thodos Dance Chicago and by independent artists in Dance Chicago. It is widely recognized as a valuable incubator for emerging artists.
