He eats, breathes and practices what he preaches.
 
Last summer, The Mercury News reported, (in reference to 2 of Franks' trainees- Cal forward, Leon Powe and Stanford's guard, Dan Grunfeld-)

"Powe's first encounter with Chameleon training ended quickly, his legs quivering uncontrollably. But after five weeks in the sand -- sometimes, he and Grunfeld would use a harness to pull Matrisciano across the beach - Powe was in such good shape that NBA teams focused on his jump shot rather than his knee.
 
Matrisciano, 43, didn't ask Powe and Grunfeld to do anything he can't. He is 6-foot and 220 pounds, with 6 percent body fat and a resting pulse of 48. He often works out at 5 a.m., then spends the day training clients. It's not uncommon for him to run six or eight miles while wearing a 122-pound weight vest. Once he completed the Escape From Alcatraz triathlon despite tearing ankle ligaments the day before the race."

Francis' clients range from professional athletes; Olympic athletes; tri-athletes;  to blue chip Division I college and high school basketball players.  His clients also include: law enforcement officers; firemen; military and special ops guys;  personal trainers; pregnant mothers and out of shape business people.  

He tailors the work-outs to the client's specific abilities and goals. Most sessions last from 1-2 hours. He's tough on his clients and expects their full commitment--with that, the results are guaranteed.

His rigorous workouts are sweetened (somewhat) by the beauty of the workout venues--Baker Beach, Chrissy Field, The Presidio or the client's home. No gyms.

Francis, a health-food-guru, will tailor a diet specific to your goals and lifestyle as well as makeover your refrigerator and cupboards and also add in a comprehensive vitamin regimen to your diet. He even makes over his client's children's diets as part of his holistic approach.
