Description

In a wise marketing move, a now well-known outdoor gear company decided to name itself after an absolutely spectacular area in southern Chile and Argentina. It is unlikely that they would have achieved equal market share had they taken the name of one of the region's most beautiful rivers. Every one knows about Patagonia, but few are aware of the Futaleufu.

CSB Alumnus Marc Goddard (Class of 1980) is introducing the Futaleufu to the world, one small group at a time. Through his company, Bio Bio Expeditions, Marc is offering two of you what will probably be the most memorable and exciting adventure of your lives. He has designed the ultimate Patagonia vacation, incorporating the best of Futaleufu river rafting, horseback riding, fly-fishing, mountain-biking and kayaking with 5-star luxury camping at Bio Bio's exclusive Adventure Spa Base Camp on the banks of the river.

The Base Camp will surpass all of your expectations in both amenities and comfort: sunset bar, wood sauna with hot showers, a private massage room, riverside hot tub, and yoga deck. Their professional Chilean chef will delight you with delicious, bountiful meals complemented by fabulous Chilean wines. Fresh vegetables are harvested daily from the garden and the gourmet menu explores the full range of Latin American flavors. At the end of the day, you will retire to your private bungalow with its comfortable beds and cozy comforters.

Since 1990, Bio Bio Expeditions has been a leader in delivering the highest quality travel experiences to clients from age 8 to 80 who share a love of the outdoors. The entire team has an undying passion for the Futaleufu River valley and all the activities and culture found within it.
