Description

Join that most intrepid of sailors and Glaucoma Research Foundation co-founder John Hetherington MD for an afternoon or evening sail on San Francisco Bay.

Jack's 36 foot sloop, Idleyes, is an Islander 36. A classic racer-cruiser, the Islander 36 gracefully combines conservative good looks, a high-aspect ratio rig, a deep keel, and a wide beam. The interior accommodates five adults comfortably. Recently, Idleyes was upgraded with new rigging, upholstery, and varnish stem to stern, so Jack is ready to show her off!

Idleyes has been with Jack for twenty years, and berths at the San Francisco Yacht Club, where he is a member. The San Francisco Yacht Club is located in beautiful Belvedere, on the shores of Belvedere Cove with a view of the San Francisco skyline. The San Francisco Yacht Club was founded in 1869 in China Basin in San Francisco, and the Yacht Club is the oldest club on the Pacific Coast of North America. This terrific location will be the part of departure for this adventure. This item will be a featured item at the Silent Auction at the 2008 Benefit on January 23rd.

This is a Live Event Item.
