About the Course

This one day program will offer practical information and updates on reimbursement and coding through lectures and panel discussions. The lectures are intended to build on existing knowledge while at the same time offering practical guidance. The course will cover the fundamentals of E/M coding and procedure documentation including guidelines for Medicare and private payers; methods for fine tuning coding of procedures; specific chart reviews in order to provide educational opportunities to improve documentation and coding; procedure case studies, updates on pay for performance; and provide panel discussions for specific coding and reimbursement questions. Separate breakout lectures will be provided during the afternoon session geared to the educational needs of both physicians and coders.
