Add to your collection, the Fuwa, or set of 5 colorful Official mascots of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games in original packaging.
Each of the Fuwa, who are the ambassadors for the Olympic Games has a rhyming, two-syllable name. When put together they say "Bei Jing Huan Ying Ni" which when translated means "Welcome to Beijing."
Each Fuwa symbolizes a different blessing and incorporates the sea, forest, fire, earth and sky.
- Beibei is a Fish, and she symbolizes prosperity and harvest. Strong in water sports, Beibei reflects the blue Olympic ring.
- Jingjing is a black/white and green Panda Bear, and he brings blessings of happiness wherever he goes. The green headdress that he wears symbolizes the lush forest and harmonious relationship between and and nature. He is an athlete noted for strength and represents the black Olympic ring.
- Huanhuan is a child of fire and represents the Olympic Flame. He brings the passion of sport and passion is the blessing that he bestows. He excels at all the ball games and respresents the red Olympic ring.
- Yingying is the Tibetan Antelope and carries the blessing of health, and the strength of body that comes from harmony with nature. This fast and agile antelope is strong in track and field events; he is a quick-witted boy who represents the yellow Olympic ring.
- Nini is the Swallow and represents the beautiful kites flown by children of Beijin each spring and summer. She has golden wings to symbolize the infinite sky and to spread good luck as a blessing wherever she flies. Strong in gymnastics, she represents the green Olympic ring.
Special Instructions
Each mascot can be hung by a beautiful red cord.
