Novelist and short story writer Alix Ohlin visited Cedar Crest and read from her work in The Harmon Hall of Peace on Wednesday, October 25, 2006.  She was kind enough to sign a copy of this book, "The Missing Person" for our auction.

An important new voice in American fiction, her work has been selected for the prestigious anthology Best American Short Stories 2005, and she has received awards and fellowships from The Atlantic Monthly, The Kenyon Review Writers Workshop, and more. Her novel, The Missing Person (2001), won praise from Nobel Prize winner J.M. Coetzee, among others; Babylon and Other Stories has received glowing reviews since its publication in July, 2006.
