This copy of "Babylon and Other Stories" was signed on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 when the author, novelist and short story writer Alix Ohlin visited Cedar Crest and read from her work in The Harmon Hall of Peace.

An important new voice in American fiction, her work has been selected for the prestigious anthology Best American Short Stories 2005, and she has received awards and fellowships from The Atlantic Monthly, The Kenyon Review Writers Workshop, and more. Her novel, The Missing Person (2001), won praise from Nobel Prize winner J.M. Coetzee, among others.
