Description
When I first saw the viola that was to be my project for "String Fever", I felt a warmth and feeling of personality emanating from it. Though very well worn it seemed to have been more loved than abused. Inspecting it further revealed the original sticker inside the body of the instrument starting the maker as John Juzek of Prague, Czechoslovakia. Upon further research it was determined that he was known as "master of the Prague School of Luthiers" (violin makers). Each piece made, not produced, with the Master's touch----I felt that this should be the focus of the project. All I could do was show respect for that process. From the hands of the Master Luthier to the hands of the Musician to the hands of the Artist----what a journey, what a history!
If only we knew......
