Description

Dolly Sellars began taking art classes in 1967. She has studied under many well known artists.

She has taught children's classes thru the San Joaquin Artists in the schools program for several years. She also taught at the Lodi Art Center in Lodi, CA.

She has won many awards over the years. "Best of Show" at the annual Delicato Art Show in 2000. Several awards at the San Joaquin County Fair and Lodi Art Annual, The Stockton Art Leagues Annual show, as well as being accepted in several national and international shows.

Dolly was one of the featured artists in the "Pastek Artist International Magazine"(2001).

She is a member of the Pastel Society of the West Coast and in 2006 was accepted in the National Art Show held at Auburn, CA.

The City of Tracy purchased "Delta Venture" for their permanent collection. The City of Lathrop also purchased on of her paintings for their permanent collection.

Dolly has done Art in Action at the San Joaquin County Fair for the last four years. Pastels are her favorite medium at this stage of her life, however she does work with oils and acrylics. Her work may be seen at the Elsie Mae Goodwin Gallery in Stockton, CA.

Dolly's work is found in personal and corporate collections through out the United States, Australia, England and Norway.

Dolly does a great deal of volunteering at convalescent homes, care homes, and retirement homes. She plays the piano and is a member of the organization "Sunflower."
