Description

A "Slowfood" dinner at Margot Cafe and Bar celebrates the local farmer and what each season brings to the table. The menu features a five course meal paired with wines. The evening offers an opportunity to meet the growers who provide us with such bounty and a chance to learn about "Slowfood Nashville" all while enjoying wonderful cuisine and enjoying the company of others in the community.

The "Slowfood Movement" was created by Carol Petrini in 1986 near the Spanish Steps in Rome in protest to the mass commercialization of food and the disconnection from eating for pleasure and health. Today it is an international movement advocating the preservation of indigenous traditions, safeguarding local economies and the creation of ecologically aware consumers.
