Description

Bid on a wonderful dinner certificate for Radio 'Perfecto'.

"'Perfecto' Chicken, fries and 'special sauce' in a 'whimsical' room using 'old radios' for décor plus a 'wonderful' garden are the reasons this 'wallet friendly' rotisserie 'cast a glow in Alphabet City.'"
-Zagat Survey 2000

"DuPre sells more roast chickens per night than Jean Georges and Patroon combined. And at $8.00, the superbly moist, herb-infused bird - served with pomme frites and a small salad - is probably the best value in all of New York City."
-Time Out NY

Design
As with Opaline, Radio Perfecto was designed with an ambiance unique unto itself.  It's aged pressed-tin walls are decorated with an assortment of 1940s original Bakelite radios, illuminated and wired for sound. Streamlined vintage power drills and antique flashlights from the 40s and 50s are crafted into wall sconces. The name Radio Perfecto was taken from the brand name of the best Italian Bakelite radio company of the same period. There is also a charming backyard garden for al fresco dining.

Radio Perfecto is an American bistro with an open kitchen that uses only the freshest, highest quality ingredients.

The specialty of the house is rotisserie chicken, cooked on its homemade French rotisserie a la "Besse Giraudon." It uses a slow turning process on an open flame that allows meat to retain it's natural flavors and juices.

Special Instructions

The dinner certificate is worth $25.00 regardless of the bid.  The restaurant is located at 1187 Amsterdam, between 118th and 119th Streets.
