This painting measures 12" x 6.25" and is neither signed nor dated.  It dates back to the late 19th century.  It has been classified as part of the Hudson River style of painting.  The frame is the original frame.

The painting depicts a path in the woods at dusk during late autumn.  The detailing is quite good and the artist who painted this picture has a good sense of balance in his work. 

It was purchased in an antique shop many years ago by the donor.
