On top of bidding on an adorable necklace you are also bidding on a necklace with a story.The Bravery Heart Beads of Courage Program is a hands-on creative activity designed to document the journey children take when they are diagnosed with cancer or other life-threatening illnesses. The bead program provides an opportunity for children to tell their story using colorful beads as meaningful symbols of the many steps taken during the course of their treatment. The necklace is handmade with beaded  glass and centered with a  beautiful Czech glass heart emblem. The necklaces are sold to support  the Bravery Hearts Bead Collecting Programs at Children’s Hospitals around the world, including the University of Maryland Hospital for Children, where Ruxton student, Davis Stack is being treated. You can just appreciate the whimsy of the necklace to bid on it and wear it, but it would be extra special if you decided to give it a child to help them be brave.
