Speech, language, and social skills delays are common in children of all ages. A variety of factors including ear infections, premature birth, family history can greatly impact a child’s communication skill development.  It is important to catch these delays as early as possible, before a child develops lowered self-esteem, frustration, or other behavior issues.  

 The winning bidder may bring their child (age 1-17) to meet with a professional speech pathologist for a 30 minute screening in the Word Works clinic.  They will answer questions about typical and atypical development, make recommendations if remediation is needed, and give suggestions for helping your child at home.
